Day 2 – Almost home. Thanks Gold Line (UPDATED)

17 Jul

So I thought one of the advantages of my MARTA commute was that I didn’t have to switch trains. The Red and Gold lines split at Lindberg (the one right before my stop) and I thought the Gold Line (my line) was always the default route. So as long as I’m going northbound I’m good. I was wrong. What I thought was going to be a pleasant, traffic-free 30 minute commute home has now turned into a two-train switching fiasco adding at least another 30 minutes. At least I have a Nook. And there’s a pleasant classical version to “My Heart Will Go On” playing on the speakers.

I’ll get it someday, kids.

UPDATE [7:09 p.m.]:
If at first you don’t succeed; try, try again.

UPDATE [7:20 p.m.]: The MARTA mistake cost me 20 minutes exactly. Food for thought, a mistake on the interstate would have cost me a lot more. MARTA wins.
